Another big day...

With the last day of my 4 day weekend upon us, it's time to blow it out in style. Alex has to work today, so it's just Danger and I. The plan is to finish these Cheerios, then meet Nai and Gi at the Library. After that, it's home for lunch and (please God) a nap, then out to Lynden for the Fair! Danger is very excited for the animals, and though he doesn't know it yet - the rides. I haven't been to the fair in years, so I'm really hoping it all works out. There may be some mobile posts if things work out...

EDIT: The trip to the fair got a big veto from Danger. We stayed home and read books. He's such his mother's son :)

Pirates!

We're off to see some pirates tomorrow! The Crew is gathering up all our little ones and sojourning to Bothell to see Captain Bogg and Salty. For those who haven't heard of them, they play honest-to-goodness pirate songs! It's a riot to get everyone in eyepatches and Jolly Rogers and watch them dance around to "pieces of 8ight". A wonderful way to spend the afternoon rather than grappling with computers.

I think the plant may be the evolutionary course for anyone who works on a computer all day, and especially in a call center. This plant has been on a bench outside for days now. I like to think this is someone who went on break and just never came back. I named him Robert.

Sorry folks,

My blogging has been crippled by an unforeseen shortcoming in leadership. I've spent the last months steeped in meditation. No one stepped up to "fill the gap". People quite literally follow me around twittering the least of my verbal castoffs as if they were made of (entertaining) gold. I apologize. I've been around in the last couple months (Maui, Vegas, Bellingham) and I'm only building up to a revitalization of the silliness which is Web 2.0. Please bear with us as we convert your stairs to an escalator...

Hobbies

I don't have many hobbies... But I'm trying. I have three now.

Hobby #1: Out Of Order Signs.

There are two major modes of this hobby, collection and redeployment. Collection consists of find an out of order sign, removing it, and watching hilarity ensue.

Redeployment is more subtle. Use of this mode is generally to reserve use of something for myself.

Hobby #2: Head-On.

Do you know about "Head-On"? The topical headache remedy? No? Does this help?



So, I've procured a stick of this stuff and removed the label. I scanned the image and printed it out on label paper. I then replaced the labels on every glue stick in the supply cabinet at work. I can't wait for tomorrow!

Hobby #3: Actual Size!
